Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School awarded David Chansolme, M.D., a 1989 graduate, with its Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award during the 2021 Commencement Ceremony on May 19. The award was established 22 years ago to recognize outstanding alumni and their commitment to the goals and objectives of BMCHS. It highlights the importance of what it means to be a person for others through their actions not only in the Irish community, but also in their community and church. “This year’s alumni award is presented to someone who could not be more deserving, especially during the last year,” said Carly Wilson, President of the Bishop McGuinness Alumni Executive Committee. “David Chansolme has demonstrated Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School’s mission statement: ‘to be a person for others,’ a million times over.” Dr. Chansolme serves as medical director of infection prevention at Integris Health and advised Archbishop Coakley and archdiocesan staff on protocols during the pandemic.
Dr. Chansolme supports many causes and often does so anonymously.
