Hallelujah, Hallelujah, he is risen! And, Hallelujah for this wonderful book!
The “Good News” of Jesus’ resurrection brings peace, comfort and strength to all who believe. “Jesus, I Know You’re There” shares this “Good News” in a fun and joyful way with few words and only 13 pages of content.
Mary Kay Clark, author, and Kim Sponaugle, illustrator, provide an uplifting and inspirational poem on the presence of Jesus in a young girl’s life. Each page consists of one stanza and an illustration that is simple, colorful and captivating. There is rhythm and continuous flow from page to page as you read the poem.
Reading this book makes it easy for the reader to relate to the presence of Jesus with simple life experiences. For example, with one of the stanzas and the illustrations, we find, “When we see a beautiful flower, when the wind blows through my hair, when I see a hummingbird, Jesus, I know you’re there.”
Given we each face challenges from time to time, it can be tempting to forget that we are not alone. Jesus is always with us and this simple, short book serves as a great reminder of his constant presence, love and encouragement.
Jesus is always with us if we simply look for him. When we feel lonely, he is there. When we need courage, he is there. He is there with us as we enjoy nature, hear songs being sung, in the hugs with our family and in nature. All we need to do is to believe in him, keep our hearts open for his presence and know he is there.
Though this book may have been published for young children, I found reading it to be uplifting and recommend it to children of all ages and their parents.
