The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City is committed to the development of the Catholic community, and the Assembly of Catholic Professionals (ACP) is one example of an organization meant to do just that.
In 2024, the ACP continues to be dedicated to building a network of professionals coming together in an atmosphere of fellowship and faith.
The group meets quarterly for a luncheon in downtown Oklahoma City to learn more about the faith from nationally respected speakers and to build relationships with each other, Archbishop Paul Coakley, clergy and lay leaders of the archdiocese. Professions represented in the ACP include accountants, artists, authors, business leaders, dentists, doctors, educational leaders, engineers, lawyers, law enforcement, ministry, scientists, teachers – anyone who has a passion for their career while integrating a radiant Catholic faith life with others.
The 2024 speakers: George Weigel, author of the best-selling biography of Pope Saint John Paul II (Feb. 15); Angela Gunderson, data analytics expert and author of a recent ground breaking report on the current Catholic population in the Oklahoma City metro (May 16); Curtis Martin, founder of the nationwide Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) initiative (Aug. 22); and Archbishop Coakley, who will provide an update on challenges and opportunities within the archdiocese (Nov. 7).
ACP is a contemporary forum for the exchange of ideas through its speakers and its ability to strengthen professional networks. With all of this in mind, ACP’s theme for 2024 is ``Building Tomorrow: Empowering Catholic Professionals for Evangelization.’’
ACP welcomes new professional participants for an exciting new year. Visit cfook.org/acp for more information.
