OKLAHOMA CITY – The Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine will host an exclusive art exhibit featuring the acclaimed Guatemalan artist Albino Pérez Yojcóm. This event will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 at the shrine's Pilgrim Center, offering a unique opportunity for art enthusiasts and the local community to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of Guatemala.
Albino Pérez Yojcóm, a self-taught artist from San Juan La Laguna, Sololá, brings his "bird’s eye view" painting style to life with rich textures and vivid colors that capture the enchanting landscapes of his homeland. Since beginning his artistic journey in 2004, Pérez Yojcóm has gained significant recognition in Latin America, with accolades such as the 2020 Arte de Manson Virtual Art Gallery Award in Tijuana, Mexico, and participation in the 2019 XII Latin American Congress of Art and Culture in Meta Villavicencio, Colombia.
