Mount St. Mary Catholic High School announces new president

Mount St. Mary Catholic High School has announced the appointment of Deacon John C. Harned as the new president, effective June 1.

Deacon Harned was selected for his distinguished professional career and strong commitment to Catholic education. He holds a master’s degree in theological studies from Ave Maria University and a master’s degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University. He has experience in executive leadership in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, and is a certified public accountant.

Deacon Harned currently also serves as a permanent deacon at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. As a permanent deacon, Deacon Harned's devotion to the faith and understanding of the spiritual needs of the community aims to strengthen the school's commitment to Catholic teachings and values.

Deacon Harned will work closely with Principal Laura Cain and the faculty and staff to build upon the foundation of Mount St. Mary Catholic High School.
