The Board of Trustees for Mount Saint Mary Catholic High School accepted the resignation of the school’s principal effective Dec. 29. Director of Admissions Diane Floyd, Ed.D., is serving as interim principal.
Principal Talita DeNegri resigned after an independent investigation revealed The Mount administrative leadership failed to take action in response to reported allegations of sexual harassment and assault by students against other students.
All findings from the investigation have been turned over to the Oklahoma City Police Department. Board Chairman Dan Carsey said the board is engaging professional resources to review policies and procedures and ongoing training will take place for faculty, staff and students.
Carsey said the board anticipates beginning a search for the new principal immediately with the intended start date of July 1.
