The Council of Catholic Women groups from Oklahoma City and Tulsa hosted the 2024 NCCW Convention Aug. 13-17 at the OMNI Hotel in Oklahoma City.
This year’s theme, “Called to an Encounter with Jesus – Women on a Journey, Sharing Their Stories” featured two speakers, ValLimar Jansen and Katie McGrady, whose stories of faith prompted the audience to rise on their feet, singing, moving and laughing.
Tours were offered to the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine with Mass, followed by a tour of the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum.
Mass was celebrated every day. The opening Mass was offered by Bishop David Konderla of the Tulsa Diocese along with Bishop William Wack of Florida, the NCCW episcopal liaison from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. On Saturday, Archbishop Paul Coakley along with Bishop Konderla, celebrated the closing Mass.
