Nestled on the second floor of the Catholic Pastoral Center in Oklahoma City is the Bishop Kelly Memorial Library. The library is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed during lunch) and Wednesdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“The Catholic Pastoral Center originally was built in 1959 as the Saint Francis de Sales minor seminary. After the seminary closed, the remaining library collection became the core of the CPC library collection,” Librarian Rose Mary Story said.
“We still have those books, but most of the collection is much more recent.”
Story said the collection includes books on Church history, philosophy, saints and prayer. Books are added each year to maintain a “robust, up-to-date collection.” The public can check out books for three weeks. Reference materials and historical books can be viewed, but not checked out.
