The director of the Office of Communications represents Archbishop Paul S. Coakley and the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City to the media.
The Communications staff prepares and distributes statements, news releases and other resources for the media, arranges interviews with Archbishop Coakley, responds to media inquiries, and credentials press for major archdiocesan events. Contact us at [email protected].
Archbishop Coakley created the Office of Communications in February 2013 to enhance the many extant communications channels of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
Like every office at the Catholic Pastoral Center in Oklahoma City, the Office of Communications exists generally to support the teaching, sanctifying and governing ministry of the archbishop.
Specifically, the Office of Communications exists to ensure that the community at large and the Catholic faithful receive the information they need to understand and participate fully in the life of the Church in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
The Office of Communications staff coordinates media relations for the archdiocese, spearheads archdiocesan social media efforts, manages the archdiocesan website and assists in the production and distribution of the bi-weekly archdiocesan newspaper, the Sooner Catholic. When possible, the communications staff also is responsive to general inquiries.
More information is available through the official Facebook page of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, Twitter (@ArchOKC) and Instagram (ArchOKC).
