Practical Strategies to Help People Experiencing Intimate Partner Abuse
A live presentation for clergy and clinical staff.
Sometimes it may be difficult to know what to do or say when someone comes to us for help or tells us about abusive behavior they have recently experienced. As a helper you need practical strategies and approaches to support and empower survivors of intimate partner abuse. These strategies may include supporting a survivor in taking steps to increase safety, bolstering a survivor’s confidence through community, and mindfully maintaining an empowering mindset as a helper. In this presentation Teresa Reeves will share practical ideas from her practice on supporting survivors.
Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019 • 1 to 2:30 p.m. INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center Auditorium No registration required for this free program.
