For the safety and security of all participating families and speakers at the Oklahoma March for Life, organizers of the pro-life march have made the difficult decision to cancel the event at the Oklahoma State Capitol.
A virtual prayer event live from the Saint Francis de Sales Chapel is being planned on Jan. 22 to celebrate the dignity of human life and to mark the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.
Information on the virtual prayer event will be posted at okmarchforlife.com as soon as it becomes available.

It is unfortunate that we have to cancel the local March for Life. Through much prayer and discernment, it has become abundantly clear that we must not allow our peaceful march to be confused by the public or in the media with those threatening violence against our capitol building. We also will not allow anyone with an agenda to take advantage of our public gathering to damage the reputation of our pro-life community and the many ministries that are saving women and children from abortion every day.
While we are canceling the march due to safety concerns, the Lord is not calling us to stand by silent while abortion continues daily in our state. He is calling us to fast and pray and to provide assistance to those in need.
We are asking all Christians in Oklahoma to, instead of coming to the State Capitol on Friday, Jan. 22, to participate in the virtual prayer event or visit their churches between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to pray for an end to abortion. We also ask that you consider doing an act of charity for a pregnancy resource center or pray on the sidewalk outside of an abortion facility as an act of reparation on this notorious anniversary of Roe v. Wade in our nation. “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).
God bless,
