Masses for medical professionals were traditionally celebrated on the Feast of Saint Luke (the patron Saint of physicians) in hospitals, chapels, parish churches, cathedrals, and everywhere that the physicians routinely gathered with their chaplains. Medical Masses honor all those who work in health care – from nurses and physicians to dietary staff and lab workers.
