Archbishop Coakley Statement on U.S. Capitol Violence

January 6, 2021 -- “God calls us to live out our faith, especially in times of turmoil. We must resist the temptation to indulge in hatred and anger and instead offer prayers for healing and reconciliation for our divided nation. Let us seek refuge under the protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and through her intercession seek to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: ‘Love one another, as I have loved you.’ God is with us.”
