(Aug. 5, 2019) – Oklahoma is far too familiar with the violent outcomes of hate. As El Paso, Dayton and other communities mourn their loss and struggle to understand why, each one of us must recommit ourselves to daily lives of prayer, respect and mercy in spite of our differences of opinion or religion or politics. Our society has reached a new level of callous disregard for the sacredness of innocent human life. We must resist the temptation to despise one another and instead embrace our shared inherent dignity.
