‘Little Women’ For the past couple months, the drama department has been rehearsing and building sets for its production of “Little Women,” which ran Feb. 20-22. As the first dramatic play the department has done in recent years, sophomore Lacey Ann Lake said the cast made good progress memorizing lines and she thought it was interesting to see the period costumes for the play.
Lake plays Mrs Gardener, a neighbor of the March sisters.
“To see them be somebody other than themselves is fun,” Lake said.
Art Club The art club held its Chinese New Year celebration, with members decorating their own fans and snake puppets.
“I just thought it would be fun and beneficial to have people participate and learn about Chinese culture in a creative way,” Art Club President Angela Williams said.
The club also held a Valentines meeting where members made candy gram cards.
Boots and Beaus Clancy Club and StuCo held their second Boots and Beaus Dance at the Harn Homestead to celebrate Catholic Schools Week and HoCo week,. For many underclassmen, the dance was their first.
“On a scale of one to 10 I’d give it a 10,” freshman Caroline Collins said. “It was just a great experience.”
HoCo After a loss to Bishop Kelley, junior Charlotte Nelson was crowned basketball HoCo Queen. Her escort was Sam Margo and she was crowned by Andrew Harris, alongside former queen Perri Mossman, flower girl Hannah Evans and crown bearer Brooks Brown.
“I just felt so much love and support from all my family and friends, and especially from the court,” Nelson said. “It was such a fantastic group to be a part of.”
