Cristo Rey OKC Catholic High School said farewell to their founding principal Cody Yocom on May 1. Principal Yocom left to become principal of Strothoff International School in Frankfurt, Germany.
With his departure, Cristo Rey welcomes Kelsey Schmidt to serve as the new principal. Schmidt spent the past five years at Cristo Rey Dallas where she was their founding theology teacher and spent the past four years as their assistant principal and director of academics.

She also started the cross country and track programs and coached cross-country girls to a third-place finish in the state competition.
Schmidt is a native of Wichita and received her bachelor’s degree from Regis University in Denver and a master’s degree from Rockhurst University in Kansas City. She also is a graduate of Teach for America.
