Cristo Rey OKC will be moving to the former Oakridge school building this summer to welcome the students for the 2023-2024 school year.
Cristo Rey OKC Catholic High School has announced a new location. The school is moving to the former Oakridge school building located near Southeast 44th and Bryant. They are moving at the end of June and will be ready to welcome the Royals there for the 2023-2024 school year.
After a city-wide search for a location that would meet the dynamic and unique needs of the school, Cristo Rey OKC’s Board of Directors and staff are confident that this new campus will do just that. The building is newly renovated and will provide a traditional school experience while accommodating a growing student population. Additionally, students are excited for the opportunity the building’s athletic facilities provide for multiple Royal sports.
Cristo Rey OKC spent its first five years on the OSU-OKC campus, but OSU-OKC's growth plans require them to take the building back over.
Oklahoma City Public Schools Superintendent Sean McDaniel and the district signed a lease agreeing to allow the Oakridge building to be Cristo Rey OKC’s new home.
Cristo Rey Board Chairman Carl Martincich said, "The Cristo Rey community is excited about our new home! This new location is the next stage of our progress and development in serving the Oklahoma City community and providing an innovative education that uniquely prepares students for college. We provide an affordable, private, faith-based education while students gain real-life and valuable work experiences with our network of over 75 corporate work study partners.”
Cristo Rey OKC is eager to welcome the current and prospective students to this new location. A web page with frequently asked questions will be continually updated as this process unfolds: cristoreyokc.org/royal-relocation.
