Staff at the Center of Family Love consider their residents heroes and a new generation of leaders
The staff at the Center of Family Love in Okarche puts their heroes first.
“Our heroes show us God’s unconditional love every single day. When we look at the world from their courageous, optimistic perspective, it changes everything! When we see their inspired creativity combined with their ability to focus and work with joy, the results are truly astonishing,” Nellie Sanders, senior vice president of philanthropy, said. “They have overcome disabilities and biases. They fight to exist in a world that does not accommodate their abilities. Can you imagine what they could bring to your business, your organization, and your community, if given the chance?”
When the CFL heroes show determination, passion and joy despite any obstacles, it inspires the CFL staff to build them the opportunities they deserve. In them are developing leaders that will show the next generation what can be accomplished through hard work and development of their abilities. They have a message to the younger generation conquering disabilities: “Keep striving and we will pave a new way!”
Within a new state-of-the-art building, the CFL will provide cutting-edge programming paired with training and development, with collaboration from their world-class partners. They are designing a new generation of sous chefs, veterinarian assistants, ballet teachers, artists, entrepreneurs, teacher assistants and leaders with mind-blowing abilities that will change the world forever.
“This is so much more than just a building.” Debbie Espinosa, president and CEO, said. “This expansion will not only sustain all new programs but will also be a revenue generating entity for the entire organization. This is the most important expansion in our organization’s history.”
To fund this year’s operations, CFL must raise $2 million for their residents who cannot afford it. Out of every dollar donated, 90 cents will go directly to the residents.
“You are the spark that ignites these heroes,” Sanders said.
