This is part of a series to introduce the seminarians of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
What is your home parish? My home parish is St. Thomas More in Norman.
What seminary do you attend? I attend St. John Vianney Theological Seminary.
If it is God’s will, what year will you be ordained a priest? If it is God’s will, I will be ordained in 2024.
What advice would you give to someone discerning a call to the priesthood? You will never hear a call to the priesthood if you do not pray! Pray daily and seek to know the love of Jesus through the sacraments. Pray with the scriptures, especially the call of the apostles and ask Jesus to reveal his call for you. Then, talk to a wise priest and share with him what Jesus is revealing to you.
What do you look forward to most about becoming a priest? I look forwarded to celebrating the Holy Mass for Christ’s Church!
Name one thing that every Catholic needs to know. The Sacraments transform our lives. We all can become saints, not merely by our own power, but through the grace of the Sacraments.
Why choose a life of sacrificial love? A life without sacrificial love is false and empty. There is no life without sacrificial love. Jesus died, resurrected and ascended into heaven so that we may have life and have it abundantly. Life begins by entering into this mystery.
