NORMAN – The new Knights of Columbus Council #12108 Partners for Life program at Saint Mark Catholic Church in Norman combines the pro-life resources of the Pro-life Billboard Campaign, the Ultrasound Initiative and the Qualified Pregnancy Centers. The goal of the Partners for Life program is to expand the outreach of the “choose life” mission.
Council #12108 Pro-life Billboard Campaign began in July 2018 with two choose life billboards in Oklahoma City. There now are 25 electronic billboards, displaying “Choose Life” in Elk City, Clinton, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Edmond, Del City, Midwest City, Yukon and Norman, reaching nearly five million drivers a week.
The expansion of the Pro-life Billboard Campaign, the Ultrasound Initiative and the Qualified Pregnancy Centers is made possible through the development of the kofcwecare.org website and the kofcliferesources.org website.
The kofcwecare.org website focuses exclusively on the needs of abortion vulnerable women, seeking support and help during pregnancy. The website includes links to 24 Qualified Pregnancy Centers that were recipients of ultrasound machines from the Oklahoma Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative.
The kofcliferesources.org website focuses on gathering numerous pro-life resources in a central location. These resources enable members of local Knights of Columbus councils to develop a customized pro-life program for their parishes and communities.
The resources include customized pro-life yard signs for display and for use in processions and marches like the 2022 March for Life in Oklahoma City. Council #2108 also has donated yard signs to parishes that do not have a Knights of Columbus council, and to protestant churches.
