Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City will host the 15th annual Reds, Whites & Brews from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 at The OKC Farmers Public Market, 311 S. Klein Ave. in Oklahoma City. This annual event supports Sanctuary Women’s Development Centers in Oklahoma City and Norman to help women and children experiencing homelessness.
“This is the first year we’re holding the event at the OKC Farmers Public Market,” said Marissa Noland, director of annual giving. “This is such a great venue for people to come together for a common cause with wide open site lines, more space and a fun, laid-back atmosphere.”
Tickets are $100 and include a diverse array of craft beer and wine, live music, games and putt-putt golf. A raffle will take place during the evening with prizes including a large HD TV, gift cards, wine tastings and much more.
Bleu Savage, director of Sanctuary Women’s Development Center in Oklahoma City, said Reds, Whites & Brews creates an opportunity for women and children to thrive.
“In every act of support, we're not just aiding individuals; we're fortifying the very fabric of our community,” Savage said. “With each woman we guide into permanent housing, we're not just solving a problem; we're planting seeds of hope that will bear fruit for generations. Now, picture the ripples of change if our support were to double.”
The centers in Oklahoma City and Norman provide hope and healing to unhoused and at-risk women and their children providing case management, employment assistance, a place to do laundry and much more while they improve their situations. Many clients transition from homelessness and poverty to permanent homes and stable employment, discovering a path to renewal and better circumstances.
