March 6, 2025Most parishes in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City have Lenten programs, including Holy Cross Catholic Church in Madill. The parish is offering several unique Lenten programs during the upcoming season.
One of the highlights of Lent will be a church-wide penance program at 7 p.m. on March 18, when visiting priests will be available for confessions.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be offered from 8 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. To remember the day of the week Christ died for sins, Adoration will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each Friday
Parish secretary Gloria Torres said special events will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. when Father Raul Sanchez will have “Lent Reunions,” an hour talk, with music, bible readings, the life of Christ and how it relates to the Season of Lent.
