She is survived by her sister Linda McCurry and brother John Miller, nieces, Kamie, Amanda, (Carol), Karen, (Jay), Amy, (Shawn), Jina, (Tyrell), Kylinda, nephew John David, (JaNelle) and 11 grand nephews and nieces.
Sister earned her BA in elementary education from the University of Dallas and a certificate in pastoral ministry.
Sister Patricia Ann entered the Carmelite Sisters in 1998 and professed final vows Sept. 14, 2003, on the Feast of the Exultation of the Holy Cross. After vows Sister served at Villa Teresa Moore as office manager and then as the director until the school closed in 2011. Sister was also the general superior of the Carmelite Sisters of Saint Therese from 2008 to 2017. She loved spending Friday mornings helping at Sister BJ’s Pantry for many years.
During the last two years of her life, Sister suffered with tremors, loss of ability to walk, loss of speech, hearing and eyesight. Through all this, she always had a warm smile for all the residents at Saint Ann Retirement Center whom she enjoyed being with. When dogs were allowed, her whole being lit up like fireworks. She loved dogs. She loved God and prayer.
