March 24, 2022Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Walters celebrated the feast of Saint Patrick on March 20.
Parishioners from Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lawton as well as Saint Jude Catholic Church in Burkburnett, Texas.
“We are so excited to have such a large crowd come out for our celebration,” said Maryann Holman, a parishioner and member of Women’s Sodality Group which hosted the event.
“Father John Paul Lewis said we had 56 who attended Mass, which is a lot for our little church.”
Following a potluck lunch with Irish favorites, children played board games and a silent auction took place to raise money for the women’s group.
In addition to activities, parishioners also celebrated the marriage of two longtime parishioners, Rachel Simon and Jostyn Sidewell. The couple now resides in El Paso where Sidewell serves in the U.S. military.
