St. Thomas More Catholic Church invites the community to participate in its oldest tradition of the Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. on Good Friday, April 18, on the University of Oklahoma campus.
The devotional walk will begin inside the church before proceeding through 14 “stations” across the campus. The Stations of the Cross is a traditional Christian devotion that reflects the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Participants walk from station to station and recall Christ’s journey to Calvary, offering a powerful moment for prayer, reflection and meditation on God’s love and his desire for salvation. This sacred tradition is an opportunity for Catholics and non-Catholics alike to engage in a deep spiritual experience and prepare their hearts for Easter.
The walk covers less than a mile, and all are invited to participate. To ensure comfort and safety, attendees are advised to bring sun protection and water.
