Debbie Espinoza, CEO of The Center of Family Love, and Nellie Sanders, chief philanthropy officer, updated Catholic school principals recently on opportunities for students to visit, volunteer and even adopt a friend living with disabilities at The Center of Family Love in Okarche.
Sanders provided information on a variety of volunteer opportunities available to youth including: pottery class, Spanish class, painting, drawing and design class, culinary and nutrition class, Bible study, performing arts and drama class, horticulture therapy class, farm to fork with restaurant partnerships, exercise class, Special Olympics training and pet therapy.
In the past two years, the center has welcomed more than 833 student experiences through 11 different Catholic school partnerships. This year, 13 students from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School and three students from Mount Saint Mary Catholic High School joined The Center of Family Love Teen Board.
