OKARCHE – The Center of Family Love is sharing its Amazon Smile Wishlist for the organization’s necessities. This Christmas season, The Center of Family Love needs people. Whether it is by making a monetary donation, volunteering time, donating an item on a resident’s Christmas Wish List or donating an item from the organizational Amazon Smile Wishlist, The Center of Family Love needs support.
Founded in 1981 by members of the Oklahoma Knights of Columbus, The Center of Family Love is a 24-hour care facility that serves intellectually and physically disabled adults. The Center of Family Love has empowered hundreds of adults throughout the state that live with intellectual and physical disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, severe brain trauma, muscular dystrophy and numerous other genetic and trauma-related disorders. The center provides specialized residential care with innovative educational approaches along with skilled vocational programs in Okarche, Kingfisher and El Reno.

On Smile eligible purchases, Amazon donates a portion of the proceeds back to the organization of the account holder’s choice. When people make The Center of Family Love their Amazon Smile donation recipient at smile.amazon.com, they will effortlessly donate to the organization each time they make a Smile eligible purchase at no extra cost. All that is required is to visit smile.amazon.com instead of amazon.com each time a person goes online to shop on Amazon.
Everyone also is invited to share their passion and talents with the residents at the center whether it is by:
- volunteering unique talents;
- joining the center’s olympians at the Special Olympics each year;
- raising money for an adopted friend by accepting The Love Challenge;
- playing games;
- cooking out, or;
- spending quality time with residents.
