PHILADELPHIA (CNS) — With tired legs but lively spirits, six seminarians from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary got to know about 40 parishioners and guests of Epiphany of Our Lord Church in South Philadelphia in early August, when they ended their first day of the Biking for Vocations.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Construction crews lifted the 45,000-pound dome onto the Blessed Stanley Rother Shrine Aug. 12 in Oklahoma City. The dome marks one of the largest construction milestones for the shrine, which is expected to be completed in late summer 2022.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Archbishop Coakley on Aug. 17 dedicated the new Our Lady of Sorrows Mausoleum and chapel at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City. The 7,140-square-foot mausoleum will accommodate nearly 1,000 indoor and outdoor crypts.
WASHINGTON (CNS) – A U.S. Department of Agriculture's recalculation of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and a major increase in the benefit for those in need "will be a meaningful improvement in the lives of millions of people who rely on SNAP for basic nutrition," Archbishop Paul S. Constructed in 1886, the first Catholic church in Purcell, a town named for the vice president of the Sante Fe Railroad, was a small, wooden structure near the Canadian River. It also served during the week as the school building. Father Frank Rouqier was the first pastor, and built this edifice. He was, to say the least, mysterious.
More than 100 people gathered at the Catholic Pastoral Center on June 11 to celebrate the Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma’s 2021 scholarship recipients. They were joined by students who received the scholarship and are attending college.

I have a confession to make. I think I’m a hypocrite. No seriously, I really think I am. The other night I had a great talk with my youngest son who is just entering the world of high school. On Dec. 9, 1531, Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared for the first time to the Indian Saint Juan Diego.
