The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Diocese of Tulsa on Nov. 11 launched a new project to better understand the history, educational value and experiences of Native students in Oklahoma Catholic boarding schools from 1880 to 1965.  

The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and Archbishop Coakley will celebrate the archdiocese’s first-ever Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Honor Dance on July 6 at Saint John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon.

The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City established the Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Spiritual Center of Oklahoma in 2017. The director is Deacon Roy Callison, coordinator for American Indian Catholic Outreach for the archdiocese.
