The active life of the Church grows out of the sacraments instituted by Jesus Christ. In the sacraments we experience an outpouring of God’s grace into our lives. They are our life in the Church. In the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City we strive to form and develop the faithful in preparation for receiving the sacraments. Our hope is that as you approach the sacraments you may have a greater understanding of the mystery and the workings of God in your life. The sacraments are an outward and visible sign of an inward and invisible grace.
There are seven sacraments in the Church: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony.
Below you will find links to guidelines, resources, forms, and more for each sacrament. If you have questions regarding calendaring or liturgical planning and celebrations, please contact the Secretariat for Divine Worship.
