As part of the Church's effort to provide a safe environment for minors and vulnerable adults, the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City requires letters of suitability for clergy and lay men and lay women who visit our Archdiocese to perform any ministry (including, but not limited to, priestly/diaconal ministry, speaking, leading retreats, teaching, performing music, and serving as a missionary). If you are planning on visiting our diocese, please contact the parish/organization you will be coming to and request approval from its pastor/supervisor. The pastor/supervisor will then work with the Chancellor’s office to get the visit approved. Please make sure you are up to date on your Safe Environment training and background check, and that neither one of them are older than five years.
If you are a member of our clergy and will be traveling to another diocese to perform any ministry (including, but not limited to, priestly/diaconal ministry, speaking, leading retreats, teaching, performing music, and serving as a missionary), please click below to begin your request for a suitability letter.
If you are a lay woman or lay man attending one of our parishes and need a letter of suitability to travel to another diocese as part of your ministry in that parish, please contact your pastor.
The following site is for internal use only and can only be accessed by our diocesan personnel; therefore, these forms need to be completed by our own clergy and staff. If you have any questions or need help with this process, please contact us at (405) 721-1416 and speak with Karen Robinson, Chancellor’s Executive Assistant or email the Chancellor's Office at [email protected].
