The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City is pleased to announce the purchase of a perpetual viewing license for the movie Unplanned. This license allows Unplanned to be viewed publicly at any Catholic church or school in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.
This gift was made possible by generous donations from the faithful in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. The license is dedicated in memory of Harper Gianna Secrest, a child born with anencephaly whose short life has had and continues to have profound meaning and purpose. She will be remembered and honored as we share the prolife message and celebrate the sanctity of all life. Special thanks to those who contributed to make possible the purchase of this license!
From www.unplannedfilm.com: “Unplanned is the inspiring true story of one woman’s journey of transformation. All Abby Johnson ever wanted to do was help women. As one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic directors in the nation, she was involved in upwards of 22,000 abortions and counseled countless women about their reproductive choices. Her passion surrounding a woman’s right to choose even led her to become a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, fighting to enact legislation for the cause she so deeply believed in. Until the day she saw something that changed everything, leading Abby Johnson to join her former enemies at 40 Days For Life, and become one of the most ardent pro-life speakers in America.”
Note: If you are planning to show the movie to a group of students under the age of 18, they will need parental consent. The movie is rated R due to two scenes involving a chemical abortion and a surgical abortion. However, the movie contains no nudity, excessively foul language, or violence apart from the abortions; the “R” rating is indicative of the disturbingly evil nature of abortion itself, not any morally offensive content in the movie.
