What is this event?
The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City equips and certifies catechists of children, youth, and adults. If we are called by Jesus Christ to Go Make Disciples, it is necessary that this discipleship be rooted in the person of Jesus Christ, His salvific work, and the teachings of His Church. By participating in all four workshops on one of these days and completing all Safe Environment requirements, catechists will be equipped and certified for the upcoming ministry year.
What are the four workshops for Basic Certification in All Ministry Areas and when are they scheduled on these Saturdays?
9:00am Workshop 1 "Christ: His Person and Works"
11:00am Lunch
12:00pm Workshop 2 "The Deposit of Faith: An Intro to the Catechism"
2:00pm Workshop 3 "Scripture: The Heart of Catechesis"
4:00pm Workshop 4 "The Vocation of a Catechist"
